Book A ConsultationCopperchase were recently successful in bidding for the contract to replace the existing obsolete systems used by the Air Traffic Controllers at London’s Oxford Airport. The airport equipment is currently maintained by NATS, formerly National Air Traffic Services.
Working in collaboration with NATS, Copperchase was able to bring the VCCS system right up to date with a bespoke system. The VCCS provided 6 operator positions each with the ability to control all ten of the transmitter / receiver channels operated by the airport. Each operator position also has the facility to intercom call another or initiate a conference call as well as access to the AFTN telephone network.
Working around the airports busy schedule, Copperchase was able to provide a seamless transition between the two systems both on time and within budget.
