AMHS Successfully installed in Angola

10 October 2014

Copperchase is pleased to announce the successful installation and site acceptance testing of its ATS Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS) for Luena and Soyo Airports in Angola.

Working with its Long-Term Partners Telescan of Portugal, Copperchase has now completed the successful supply and installation of AMHS and AFTN communications equipment at 2 of the 4 Angolan International Airports for which they won the tender.

As part of the countries airport infrastructure re-development plan, the project has now seen the successful completion of Site Acceptance testing for Luena Airport and Soyo Airport with Dundo Airport and Saurimo Airport expected to be fully installed and operational in February 2014.

Native X.400 messaging is supported as well as the AMHS-AFTN services of the Copperchase AMHS-AFTN Gateway product AMHSGATE. It is anticipated that this installation will be a significant African element of the wider, global uptake of AMHS.
